Free market capitalism gives us the freedom to acquire greater wealth. The Stock Market goes up-up-up, falters, and then goes up again, so that the next drop is from a new plateau. In this way, even with minor drops and faltering, the market is ever on the rise. Every once in a great while, however, there is a natural market crash due to things like a nation’s economic slump affecting global trade.
And that’s the story of evolution.

In this way, even with minor drops and faltering, the market is ever on the rise. Every once in a great while, however, there is a market crash. Sometimes it is due to things like a nation’s economic slump affecting global trade. Other times it’s less a natural cycle and more manmade: psychopathic entities constantly cheating the system and taking advantage of people for their own gain. Often, the natural and unnatural reasons are interconnected.
And that’s the story of sorcery.
“Freedom” on the pendulum is never freedom. Thought can only conceptualize and contextualize the actual. We do this over and over in many ways to tell ourselves the story of what we’re not living. Telling stories about living is not living. Embedding these stories in everything we do so that we don’t have to even tell them anymore is getting so lost in the story that we don’t know we’re telling one anymore.
And that’s a ghost story.
