A confused mind is not one that does not know, it is one that thinks it does when it doesn’t. One who does not know and says, “I’m confused,” is one with an open mind. You cannot be confused about something you have no experience of. You can be uncertain when you are given conflicting stories that claim to hold the right and singular answer.
The mind that is closed off with false knowledge is a confused mind and since that is the dominant mind here, it will confuse the word “confuse” rather than opening. Such a mind would rather say that open-minded people are confused than lose its false sense of security in certainty.
Either that or I’m wrong.
